The Human Condition
The races have began, your nemesis waves the flag
Let’s all run, the beautiful dream always looked so pretty
Still the beating heart will await, hope never dies easy
The human condition, looking for the easy way out
One sip of courage, one sniff of temporary happiness
The human condition, never does persistence prevail
Step into the bright lights, have a dance with disaster
Time to remember, time to find a home
Take off the shoes that lead you astray, put that blindfold away
Look deeper into the motivator, the condition which feeds you
Seeing it brighter was never easy, cast upon the universal mirror
The cold reality, taken back to where we started
The blanket of pretence, never really was worth the damage
The human condition, where are we going?
Where have we gone?
Are we lost in thought?
